Video Recording Time Calculator
How many hours of video fit on a card at a given bitrate.
GB
Mbps
How it works
Recording time = card size in megabits ÷ bitrate. One gigabyte is 8,000 megabits, and bitrates are quoted in megabits per second. Audio adds a little more, and cards also reserve some space for file tables. Many cameras split long clips into 4 GB or 30 minute files, which does not change the total. Example: A 256 GB card at 100 Mbps records about 5 h 41 min, using 750 MB every minute.
