How it works
Power draw (W) = cooling capacity ÷ EER. Monthly energy = draw × hours × days × duty cycle. The duty cycle is the share of time the compressor actually runs; it is lower for inverter models and mild weather. Example: with the default values, monthly cost comes to $30.24.
