How it works
The base load is about 215 BTU/h per m² for a 2.4 m ceiling, scaled by ceiling height and adjusted 10% down for shade or up for strong sun. Each person beyond the first adds 600 BTU/h and appliances add 3.412 BTU/h per watt. One ton of cooling is 12,000 BTU/h. Climate, insulation, and window area change real needs. Example: with the default values, cooling needed comes to 6,461 BTU/h.
