How it works
Distance = √((x₂ − x₁)² + (y₂ − y₁)²). Slope = (y₂ − y₁) ÷ (x₂ − x₁); a vertical line has no defined slope. The midpoint averages the x and y values. Example: (1, 2) to (7, 10) has distance 10 and slope 1.3333.
