How it works
Addition and subtraction use a common denominator: a/b + c/d = (ad + cb) ÷ bd. Multiplication is a/b × c/d = ac ÷ bd. Division multiplies by the reciprocal. The answer is reduced by the greatest common divisor. Use whole numbers. Example: with the default values, simplified fraction comes to 5 / 4.
