How it works
Volume (m³) = length × width × depth (m). One cubic metre is 1,000 litres, and the bag count is rounded up so you do not run short. Soil settles by about 10–15% after the first watering, so many gardeners add a little extra. Example: with the default values, a 2.4 × 1.2 m bed filled 30 cm deep needs 0.86 m³, or 22 bags of 40 L.
